Jonathan J. Jacks was born in Bethesda, Maryland on January 26, 1986, however, he moved to West Virginia the same year. He attended Morgantown High School in Morgantown, West Virginia, and then stayed in Morgantown to attend West Virginia University. Jon’s academic honors during his undergraduate career included the Promise Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship, and the Robert Maiolo Dean’s list and/or President’s list for academic honors throughout his undergraduate education. In May of 2008, Jon graduated Summa Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar with a degree in Political Science and an emphasis on Law and the Legal System.
Jon continued his education in the fall of 2008 at the West Virginia University College of Law on an academic scholarship. Jon was able to supplement his legal education during law school by working for Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC. Additionally, he spent a semester as a full time judicial extern with the Honorable Irene M. Keeley and the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. Jon graduated in May of 2011 and began full-time employment with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC, in the Morgantown office.
Since that time, the majority of Jon’s practice has focused on civil defense and workers’ compensation defense. However, his broad practice has included other areas as well, such as representation of clients during OSHA investigations.
