Jonathon was born in upstate New York but grew up in Bridgeport, West Virginia. He attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2011 summa cum laude, earning a B.A. in Political Science, with honors, and a minor in Philosophy. Upon graduation, Jonathon earned his J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was an active member of the Trial Advocacy Board, serving as its President in 2013-2014. While in law school, Jonathon stood out among his peers as a litigator, earning the distinction of “Best Advocate” in the 2012 Kentucky Mock Trial Championship, Kentucky’s annual trial competition among the Commonwealth’s three law schools. In 2013, Jonathon and his teammate competed in the TYLA National Trial Competition in San Antonio, Texas, a tournament comprised of the top 22 teams in the nation. 

Jonathon spent most of his career in general practice. After spending the initial years after graduation practicing in Kentucky, Jonathon has been practicing in West Virginia since 2017. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Greer Law Offices, PLLC, in Bridgeport, where he represented clients on a wide variety of matters, including state and federal civil litigation as both defendant and plaintiff, real property and commercial transactions, estate and probate matters, and criminal defense. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for both the Southern District of West Virginia and Northern District of West Virginia. He has been admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since 2015, including both the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. 

Jonathon currently resides in Morgantown with his wife, Dr. Sonya Inderbitzin-Fischer, and their two adorable corgis, Lola and Kristoff.
