John Dever was born in Charleston, WV, and, following a 4 year excursion to Red Deer, Alberta, was raised in Kenner, LA, near New Orleans. He earned his B.S. in Biological Science and Minor in Music from Virginia Tech in 2014. John then studied law at Vermont Law School, where he was a Staff Editor on the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. John also served as a student clinician in the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic and assisted as a tax preparer as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. After law school, John worked as a law clerk for the Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center where he drafted contracts and non-disclosure agreements as well as assisted Human Resources with various tasks.
John currently resides in South Charleston, West Virginia, where he enjoys performing with various vocal and instrumental musical ensembles and playing ultimate frisbee in his spare time.
