Jared Underwood was born and raised in Beckley, WV, where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2005. He attended West Virginia University College of Business and Economics from 2005 – 2009, where he was a West Virginia Promise Scholarship recipient. While enrolled at WVU he was accepted into a study abroad program in Paderno Del Grappa, Italy, that was hosted by the University of Kansas. During his study abroad trip he studied international economics and business law. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance.
Jared applied and was accepted into West Virginia University  College of Law in 2009. He graduated from West Virginia University College of Law in 2012 where he was in the top 33% of his class. Upon completion of law school he returned home to Beckley, WV, where he accepted a full time job with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC.
Jared is married to Lindsey Goodman also of Beckley, West Virginia. They are the parents of two wonderful boys, Brody and Blake. Jared enjoys being fit, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Jared Underwood is a member who represents individuals, businesses, and public entity clients in a wide array of litigation matters, with an emphasis on representing clients in education law, employment law, insurance defense, and civil rights litigation. He has worked full time with  the firm since graduating law school in May of 2012. During his time with the firm he has had the opportunity to work on many different types of civil litigation. He has helped our clients in defending claims of negligence, discrimination, Section 1983 claims, medical malpractice, and various other civil matters. Because of his exposure to numerous types of civil litigation, he is more than capable to handle any civil litigation matter that may arise.
