Ellie was born and raised in Iran. After graduating from high school, she attended law school and obtained her Bachelor of Law degree in 2009. She then continued her education and obtained a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminology. She successfully passed the bar exam and practiced law for several years before moving to the United States in 2017. She took the LSAT exam in 2018 in the U.S. and subsequently was admitted to Appalachian School of Law (ASL) in Virginia in Spring of 2020 for a JD program.

While at ASL, she interned for the Honorable Justice Cleo E. Powell during summer of 2021 at the Supreme Court of Virginia. She also interned for the Office of the Attorney General in Virginia during the fall of 2021. During summer of 2022, she worked at Cipriani & Werner in Charleston, West Virginia for three months as a summer associate.

When she was at ASL, she met her husband Ryan who is from Charleston, West Virginia.

After graduation, Ellie moved to Charleston to live with Ryan and their lovely dog Rosie. She successfully passed the bar exam and began her current position at Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe in March 2023.
