Anthony Ira Werner, Jr. is from Wheeling, West Virginia. He attended West Liberty University for his undergraduate degree, graduating in 2014 magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and a dual minor in Writing and Philosophy. In 2015 he received a M.A. in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.
Ira entered into the workforce for a period of time until 2018, when he decided to return to school, studying law at West Virginia University’s College of Law. He received a CALI Award in Civil Procedure his 1L year. While attending law school, Ira was an elected member of his class’s Ethics Council and part of the Federalist Society. Ira obtained his J.D. in 2021. Post-graduation, Ira has practiced primarily in insurance and civil rights litigation, and continues to do so having joined with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC, in September 2022.
