It is our belief that superior workers’ compensation legal representation is only one facet of an effective workers’ compensation claims strategy. An effective workers’ compensation claims strategy requires a team approach which includes the constant communication between the employer’s safety department, human resources department, the employer’s workers’ compensation administrator, the insurance carriers’ Claims Administrator and our workers’ compensation group. The goal of an effective workers’ compensation claims strategy is to minimize the over all claim cost through effective claims management, continuous claims monitoring, and when necessary, effective litigation, thus reducing premium rates for insured clients and claims costs for Self-Insured clients.

In addition to aggressive litigation representation before the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Office of Judges, the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Board of Review and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, our workers’ compensation team is also available to provide individual claim review, analysis and recommendations. It is our belief that early review, analysis and evaluation of claims involving the client and our workers’ compensation team reduces the total claim cost and either reduces the attendant litigation costs or allows litigation costs to be focused more effectively to attain the maximum benefit for each litigation or pre-litigation dollar spent.
