The West Virginia Women’s Commission announces the appointment of Ms. Kameron Miller of Cabell County as vice-chair.
The West Virginia Women’s Commission promotes the status and empowerment of all West Virginia women through advocacy, research, education, and consensus building. The Commission exists to foster women’s economic, political, educational, and social development; to ensure their full participation in society; and to recognize their achievements.
The Commission sponsors workshops throughout the state to enhance the knowledge, skills, and legal rights of women, develop recommendations about and for legislation affecting women, and sponsor annual events for women and girls that teach advocacy, encourage involvement in the legislative process, and provide information on educational opportunities for women.
Miller is an attorney with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown and Poe PLLC in Charleston and is a member of the Young Professionals Committee of the Huntington hamber of Commerce. She is also a traveling team coach with the WVU Law School Moot Court team.
Miller, a native of Huntington, earned a bachelor of business administration degree in Business Marketing from Marshall University and a doctor of jurisprudence from West Virginia University. Miller is a lifelong resident of West Virginia.
