The History of the Beckley Office

Around 1995, southern West Virginia began experiencing a major growth of litigation. Many insurance companies stationed claims representatives in the area to effectively handle the incoming claims. Thus, Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC decided to open an office in Beckley to better serve the needs of its clients.

At first, the office employed one attorney with only two major clients. Since that time, the number of attorneys has grown to seven with service to a dozen major clients and an excess of 100 total clients. Two major build outs occurred at the Beckley office to accommodate its substantial growth, with the first occurring in 1997.

While the overall Firm is geared toward insurance defense, more than 20 percent of the Beckley office's practice is dedicated to general areas of the law. This includes criminal defense, boundary line disputes and other similar areas. One of the other strengths of the Beckley office is its location. We are within an hour of all major cities in southern West Virginia and are considered a local firm. This location allows our clients to save money on travel expenses and other associated costs. We also take great pride in the working relationships we maintain with local attorneys and judges throughout the region. While many companies are pleased with the representation they receive, it is important to note that our low rates and location can provide a substantial savings to our clients when dealing with cases filed in the rural areas of southern West Virginia.
