Andrew Stott Woods, who prefers Drew, is originally from the Deep Creek Lake area of Western Maryland. Drew attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he was a member of the Bobcat Football Team and received the Wesleyan President's Scholarship and Wesleyan Athletic Scholarship. He graduated from Wesleyan in 2000 with degrees each in Accounting and Finance, and a minor in Biology. From Wesleyan, Drew attended the West Virginia University College of Law from 2000 through 2003. While at WVU, Drew received accolades for Trial Advocacy's Best Cross Examination, Best Closing Argument, Best Overall Trial and Best Overall Litigator. Also, while attending law school at WVU, Drew was hired as a Graduate Assistant for the Office of the President, General Counsel Division. Drew worked for the General Counsel for two years, a position normally offered for only one year to Third Year Law Students. Due to attorney and staff limitations, this experience permitted Drew to oversee major University wide projects such as the construction of the WVU Student Athletic and Weight Facility, drafting and participating in the negotiation of some of the University's major coaching contracts of that time, assisting in the University-wide compliance for student/athletes and working hand-in-hand with outside counsel retained to represent the University's interests. From 2007 through May of 2010, Drew was the Senior Associate Counsel for Farmer, Cline & Campbell, PLLC, a prominent personal injury firm located in Charleston. In this position, Drew was entrusted with interviewing and accepting new personal injury clients, pre-litigation evaluation of claims, pre-litigation resolution of claims, and all aspects of individually litigating matters that were unable to be resolved without suit. While at FCC, Drew tried several cases through their entirety; all of which resulted in favorable verdicts for his clients. This position provided Drew with the unique opportunity to view, evaluate and value cases from the other side, a skill that he has brought back to his defense practice. Drew returned to Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC, in May of 2010 as a Member of the Firm. His practice continues to be 100% dedicated to litigation and trial. He currently focuses on the defense of corporate, individual and municipal clients, and intends on specializing in the defense of auto accident claims.
